Winter Light

Winter light is thin and precise. It rakes low across a room in the morning and is gone by mid-afternoon — and in that narrow window, clear and crystalline stones come alive.

This is a season for quartz points on a windowsill, for pale fluorite catching a cold sun, for labradorite whose flash reads brightest against grey days. Reflective winter interiors ask for objects that gather what little light there is and give some of it back.
